National Institute of Design Haryana (NIDH), Kurukshetra has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MSME Technology Centre, Rohtak On 5th November 2020.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Vanita Ahuja, Director NID Haryana and Mr. Ashwani Kant, DGM - MSME Technology Centre, Rohtak.

Through this MoU, both the Institutes agree to jointly organize short term continuing education programs on the topic of mutual interest and invite each other’s faculty to participate therein. Both will organize jointly seminars, conferences, or workshops on topics of mutual interest and invite each other’s faculty to participate or as guest lecturer therein. Both Institute plan to jointly undertake and work on various Govt. Funded Scheme like Design Clinic, SFURTI and ASPIRE etc. for MSME sector.

Dr. Vanita Ahuja, Director NIDH said “We are delighted to enter into an MoU with MSME Technology Centre, Rohtak. The MoU would provide a platform for synergy between the two institutions and for achieving Institute’s objectives of providing Skill development and Design intervention for MSME Sector”. Mr. Ashwani Kant, DGM - MSME Technology Centre, Rohtak, said, “An association with NID Haryana, one of the premier Institute in Design of the country is a step in the right direction. Such interface of Skill development and Design education is the requirement in present times.

The MoU will focus on activities for promoting entrepreneurial Skills in Craft sector Clusters and other MSME groups providing them with the needed knowledge and developing the technical Skills and Design. The aim of MoU is to bridge the gap of industries and academic culture. Scientifically designed curriculum ensures optimum blending of theory and practical using latest pedagogical techniques and teaching aid by trainers.
